It’s not the worst, there’s definitely stuff I liked, I just didn’t like the movie.

There are some cute moments between Tom Hollan and Dailey Ridley. Mads Mikkelson is pretty interesting because he’s the only person we don’t know the thoughts of. But other than that, it’s just a bunch of dumb shit with no pay offs and a pretty worthless 3rd act. And for a movie all about being able to see people’s thoughts, I wish any of them thought about something interesting.

Still, I didn’t hate it, and it was the right mood to watch something brainless.

Holy shit, what a movie. This was so much fun and truly a perfect script. John Goodman steals the show but the whole cast is terrific.

It’s like Die Hard, mixed with Alien, mixed with Close Encounters. But what makes it so special is that the monster is something real (for the most part). The homey town and its citizens just make it easy to put ourselves in their shoes. This is a fucking perfect movie experience.

This movie was a heart pounding experience. It felt like gasping for air for 2 hours. The highs and lows that Sandler’s Howard goes through is a total rollercoaster and the movie manages to make the wins just as entertaining as the losses. One moment I’m shaking my legs in anticipation and the next my face is in my hands as the decisions became hard to watch.

Every performance is top notch, including KD who is insanely watchable. I love…
