  never seen black british culture depicted on screen in such a cinematic way wow i was literally emotional at the end.. genuinely made me feel even prouder of my roots 👍  also made me laugh out loud several times which was fun! wanna see more simple black british films, tired of seeing black pain all the time. loved it even more than i thought i would <3

  this is the most layered and fascinating film i’ve seen in a while. the concept of loneliness and forming too deep of an attachment with the ideal perception we have of people rather than what they’re truly like. the way colm sees suffering as the only way of getting through life rather than going through any rejection or disappointment was heartbreaking but also the way padraic appreciates and sees how kindness on any scale is enough to make someone memorable. heart warming and heart breaking all at once. just very human. 10/10!!!!
