I'll admit, I am a bit biased that this took Best Score from Babylon, but even without that, it just feels like yet another stylish war flick depicting the horrors of war we've already seen countless times. There's nothing wrong with it, but there's only so much you can do with that subject when it's told on the battlefield, just like so many other films. It's incredibly well made, but it's fighting an uphill battle and trying to distinguish itself, which is difficult when it can easily blend into the endless crowd of war films like this.
