    Shutter Island 2010

What a fucking final act, just … wow.

On every rewatch this movie blows my mind with it’s insane attention to detail, the constant foreshadowing amongst the rising tension, the portrayal of Andrew from leo especially, which in my opinion is one of his best performances to date, if not the best. The supporting cast is also excellent.

In essence this does feel a lot like a Nolan film, however still has that unique Scorsese direction which I am…

    HOLY SHIT

Genuinely the most excited I’ve been for what is unfolding before me on screen and felt that many emotions in one sitting in a theatre for a long ass time! This film just works, it is so silly and goofy, but it’s executed so well by the DANIELS and the stellar cast, Ke Huy Quan ladies and gentlemen.

Artisticly it is so unique, and the cinematography, specifically the framing and camera motions, is absolutely unique and beautiful. The…

Surprisingly a lot of Sam Raimi shines through in his certainly unique style, and I am all here for it. An enjoyable film overall, was a tad messy but Raimi’s uniqueness patches it up just enough, was a nice change of pace from the formula we’ve come to expect from Marvel Movies of late.

Not to mention Bruce Campbell making an appearance, iconic.

Oh and also not to mention the sequence where both strange’s battle it out with literal music, visually pleasing on the eye, and also the score to match it is the cherry on top.
