    ★★★

I mean, it has porn and a lot of gore, what more could you ask from a horror movie? Shame for the bizarre plot.

  • Hotel Transylvania: Transformania

    Hotel Transylvania: Transformania

    ★★★

Far superior to its predecessor, Hotel Transylvania 4 manages to inject freshness to the franchise, with a predictable but solid story. It has better jokes than its last installment, the animation is better and it's shorter, so it doesn't tire the viewer. However, after the disaster of the third part, I don't know if this is enough to keep this franchise alive.

    tick, tick...BOOM!

    ★★★

I'm so fucking in love with Vanessa Hudgens.

  • Spencer

    Spencer

    ★★★

More than a narrative, Spencer is a character study of Princess Diana. If you are not interested in these subjects, this is definitely not the film for you. However, the exposition is very well done, where the viewer comes to feel like they know Lady Diana, seek to understand her, and become interested in her and her issues. Kristen Stewart gives the performance of her life, I had heard she was good but I was quite impressed and surprised, no…

  • Halloween Kills

    Halloween Kills

    ★★★

Michael Myers, the ruthless killer, returns more aggressive than ever. The film features impressive gore and some pretty creative kills, which honestly, are the reasons we watch these movies. As a slasher, it lives up to all expectations and manages to be a fun time. As a film, it makes some questionable decisions, especially the final confrontation, which strips the film of all logic and realism. But as I said before, these movies are not to be taken so seriously,…

  • Fear Street: 1978

    Fear Street: 1978

    ★★★

Much better than the first installment, this sequel tells a competent and exciting story with characters that feel real and manage to hold the viewer's interest. A pleasant surprise that injects energy into this franchise and helps to envision a bright future for this trilogy.

  • The Unholy

    The Unholy

    ★★★

I think I am the first person to see this movie twice.

  • The Unholy

    The Unholy

    ★★★

I found myself surprised that I genuinely enjoyed the first two acts of this film. I feel like it's a story that may not be anything new, but manages to feel fresh at several points, along with a simple story that doesn't bore. I think it's a subject that may bother some Christians, but it makes a lot of sense to me that evil masquerades as good, don't forget that the language of the devil is lies. However; the good…

  • Godzilla vs. Kong

    Godzilla vs. Kong

    ★★★

The big showdown came. The two most famous titans in history face each other in single combat to prove once and for all who is the mightiest of all. Sadly, it's hard to find a kaiju movie that has a serious and intelligent script. The exceptions I know of are 2005's King Kong and one of the best films of this genre, Shin Godzilla. Those movies use the titan to show us something, whether it is a sentiment or a…

  • As Above, So Below

    As Above, So Below

    ★★★

As I mentioned in my previous review, As above So below is a solid horror film. I like that it's a horror movie that takes its time telling its plot and building its world. Not all horror movies do that and unfortunately, there are fewer and fewer of them. The hell that is presented is somewhat interesting and although it is not an exact copy of Dante's Inferno, it does have several ingredients from his novel. And that is appreciated.…

  • Ma Rainey's Black Bottom

    Ma Rainey's Black Bottom

    ★★★

Viola Davis. Chadwick Boseman. These two have given the best performances of the year. Viola Davis is unrecognizable, she really transformed to be able to play the character and even though she doesn't go out that long on screen she steals the film. Without a doubt, I was totally impressed. One of the best actresses of her generation. After this film, it's impossible to deny this. Chadwick, with his natural charisma manages to make the best performance of his life.…

  • Mank

    Mank

    ★★★

Mank features an impressive production design. From the cars, costumes and sets they built, it's definitely an impressive and applauding effort. Without a doubt, it must be one of the favorites to take this prize. The main character is written in a perfect way, it is sarcastic, overbearing, which ends up being an insufferable idiot compared to others. All this demonstrates what our character thought, why the need to bet excessively and the drinking problem. Gary Oldman is brutal, doing…
