An extremely unique and weird film, A Ghost Story is not a film for everyone, but many people will love this deep exploration of loss, love, grief and death.
8 or 9/10?
Ever since Stuckmann's review came out, I was really excited (and later worried) to see this, and I finally did. Here are my thoughts:
So, this was a very weird film. After I finished it, I didn't know if I liked it or not, but now I think I do.
So this film is really slow and confusing and definitely not for everyone, but the cinematography, score and editing were beautiful.
And that's pretty much all I can say about this film. Last time it was this hard for me to write a review on a film was The Seventh Seal.
But, can anybody explain this to me? Like, what was that doorway in the hospital? And what was the deal with the other ghost? Why did The Ghost "disappear" after he read the note? And how did The Ghost go back in time? And what even is this film? And most importantly, what kind of pie was Rooney Mara eating?
