    Blade Runner 2049

So I saw this at a blade runner double feature and the way this film blows the first out of the water is astounding. The first film buckles so hard in comparison - not just because the modern visuals in this are slightly more impressive (tbf that is one of the things that really hold up in the first one) - but because the storytelling is just so much more astute, coherent, well-paced, interesting, EVERYTHING.

I was completely shocked by how much I loved this.

    Blade Runner

So this is my second time watching Blade Runner although the first time watching the “Final Cut”. I really didn't enjoy my first viewing of the film - mainly because it seemed to make no sense and was weirdly vague.

I liked this - great tension, well developed characters and Olivia Cooke is just so excellent, I was so hooked by her character.

Very interesting and engaging film - Florence Pugh unreal as usual

  • Living

I adored this - every shot was a masterclass of framing, lighting, acting, the whole lot. The story was beautifully told - I haven’t watched Ikiru yet will 100% will for sure now

    Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

Many many faults - main one being it’s way too long - but some bits are impressive and it’s impressive generally that they managed to make a film that was fitting and sensitive in the light of all that’s happened.

  • Sleepy Hollow

    Sleepy Hollow

    Aggressively average

  • The Lion King II: Simba's Pride

The Lion King II: Simba's Pride

Very much phoned in the animators budget

  • The Lion King

    The Lion King

    Decision to Leave

The ending was excellent, really brilliantly imagined and beautifully executed. I enjoyed the rest of the film although I don’t think it lived up to some of Park’s previous films.

  • The Banshees of Inisherin

    The Banshees of Inisherin

    Goddamn that donkey.

  • She-Hulk: Attorney at Law

    She-Hulk: Attorney at Law

My favourite marvel series since WandaVision - it’s great and if you hate it, you’re boring.
