Oscar Lau’s review published on Letterboxd:
The technical achievement is ‘stunning’, it’s like someone punching your head incessantly for 90 minutes to experience the same nauseating effect the protagonists indulge in madness. I really like the first half of the story, but after the secret history between the two male characters is disclosed, the second half seems go around in circle only. The main rivalry between the two men drags on too long before reaching a satisfying conclusion, meanwhile the body-piercing habit of the wife character never quite converges with the narrative except offering another symbolic meaning of self-mutilation. This could be told in an hour of time indeed.
