  the nuclear family gets nuked - the seething teenage underbelly of the reagan years put to screen with a fury so all-encompassing it's cheesy but also almost transcendental. as an actual film it's kind of shitty? but as a time capsule to a specific, traumatic, violently atomized time for 80s youth... whew
