Most Faye Dunaway movies will probably get 5 stars, just a heads up.
Truly falls apart in the last 30 minutes, and definitely needs a firmer hand in the editing room. But that Nia DaCosta can really put together some staggering images. Strong ideas even without the “here is the idea of the movie, explained in dialogue” scenes.
Yahya and Teyonah should be bright shining stars, people. Let’s make it happen.
