Joey’s first time watching this. Spent most of the time repeating some variation of “wait, [insert actor name here] is in this too??” and wondering why Heath had an Australian accent (honestly though, was it because Heath couldn’t fake a good American one??).
Still hits. And the SOUNDTRACK? A+++.
Just a fun, silly, cute rom-com all around.

Honestly though, 5 stars for:
-all around production quality; hello costume/design/set 💯💯💯
-the ingenious script/dialogue
-the golden trio that is Olivia Coleman, Rachel Weisz & Emma Stone (I will never ever live up to their talent and that’s ok)
-Emma Stone’s delivery of the most apathetic handjob to ever be caught on film
-“Because I will not lie! That is love!” and pretty much just that entire scene

Maybe once I stop processing I’ll have a chance to really contextualize how this made me feel, but man....this one hurt.
I don’t mean to pull the “as a child of divorced parents” card but maybe I should take one for the team (and by team, I mean me) and stop consuming this kind of content purely for the sake of self-preservation??
