Intense and action-filled right from the very start, the latest instalment in the Star Wars franchise is everything a fan could want in a Star Wars film. Rian Johnson finds the perfect balance between the light and the dark, and utilises that to keep everyone on the edge of their seats through the entire duration of the movie. Kelly Marie Tran absolutely NAILS it as Rose Tico and steals the show, I am very excited to see what the future has for her. As for the other cast members, their talent truly shines in The Last Jedi. Their characters go through so much throughout the whole film and we get to know so much more about them all. The moments that happened in this are just beyond all fan theories and very surreal; things that have never been done before in Star Wars. There were so many heartfelt scenes shared on screen, especially the ones with the amazing Carrie Fisher. The return of Luke Skywalker and his actions were very unexpected and audible gasps were scattered around in the cinema every time he was on screen, but he is still the same Luke Skywalker that first appeared on our screens 40 years ago. Rian Johnson has done an excellent job overall. This has been by far one of my best cinema experiences and I will definitely be seeing it again several times.
