A bloke I know on here reviewed Little Women by saying “ok fine but why?” or words to that effect. I feel similarly about this and likely we are both wrong. Ugly, one-paced, grim but clever and horribly compelling. I got very little from Sandler or any of the others, so the stakes were low even though the tension was high.
