THE SOCIAL NETWORK is a unique and very well crafted feature from noted filmmaker David Fincher. With strong acting from Jesse Eisenberg and Andrew Garfield THE SOCIAL NETWORK is propelled into greatness. Not to mention the stylized, dark and minimalistic aesthetic always present in a Fincher piece. However, the films ending is weak as Zuckerberg and Facebook is very much still a relevant thing and unfortunately this makes the film feel incomplete.
THE SOCIAL NETWORK is one of the first films that disturbed me, and I say that in a good way. Aside from Fincher's painstakingly simply yet effective camera angles, some beautifully done editing by Kirk Baxter and Angus Wall, and the incredibly disturbing and emotional score by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, this film is near perfect. It's far more than a film about Facebook, so if that's what is deterring you from watching this, do yourself a favor and just watch it.
