Chapter 2 is living proof that if you make a good first film then people just want more. No set ups, no cinematic universe, just good old fashioned storytelling can also be turned into a multi million dollar franchise. That is inspiring.
As for the film itself, just wow. The action just iconic and almost feels like it's own thing. I've heard lots of people in the internet describe stuff as "John Wick style", so the iconic nature of the action is there. You also can't overlook the incredible cinematography by Dan Lausten who brought a whole new look and feel to the world. His style is noticeably different from Jonathan Cela (the cinematographer for the first film) and I don't know which one I like more but both are visually stunning.
The issues I have with the film are that the story isn't as emotionally driven, the action can sometimes overstay its welcome and the last scene where everyone in central park seems to be an assassin just isn't believable. Love the movie though.
