I’ll be honest, I saw the trailer and knowing Netflix puts out 20% quality films, 80% mediocre ones, I assumed it would be one of the mediocre ones and didn’t give it a second thought. After it got some awards recognition I decided I would check it out after all. And it’s definitely a good movie, I wouldn’t call it great, but for sure above average.
The script and the lead actor are what shines here. While it did have pacing issues, the story was strong enough to always keep me engaged. The biggest flaw for me is the runtime, it’s 20 minutes too long.
Still, a very good movie that I’m glad I watched.
