film is good

Easy Rider marked a significant turning point in American cinema, paving the way for New Hollywood.
I tried to watch this through the eyes of a cinemagoer in 1969. The taboo subject matter and relaxed approach to storytelling doesn't seem too risky by today's standards, but back then it was game changing.
Still, I can't say it's enjoyable. Jack Nicholson is iconic, there are some solid needledrops and the scenery is pretty. Everything else is tedious. The LSD trip scene reminded me of a bad student film.
