Facebook reminded me that I saw this movie 13 years ago today. I recall leaning over to my friend, whom I was attending with on an outing with his tween-aged son, and saying during the climax, "I have no fucking clue what is happening here."
I'm not sure if it was the editing, the VFX, or the directing that was the problem, but it was definitely a cinematic moment.
He did it again. Christopher Nolan has crafted a technically stunning film that makes me feel stupid until all the strings are tied up in the end. While I liked much of this film quite a bit, there were more a few times when I just wanted to stop because watching a movie should not be this hard!
Tenet is the type of movie that demands a second (and maybe a secord, third, and fourth) viewing. I was so busy…
