I'm Thinking of Ending Things 2020
Frustratingly self-indulgent, obnoxiously morose and immaturely nihilistic while having almost nothing interesting to say... or do... or show... Kaufman cements his position in cinema as the sad nerd who was one overdue Pauline Kael library book from shooting up his high school.

The Vast of Night 2019
Short and sweet, very pretty and well acted. The camera gymnastics were a bit distracting and pointless but thankfully those are pretty much abandoned halfway through in favor of a mile-a-minute, yet very easy to follow plot and a show stopper of an ending straight out of Close Encounters of the Third Kind.
Very good for a first feature; I think Patterson’s will be a very fun career to follow.
Palm Springs 2020
Love child of Groundhog Day and Eternal Sunshine but not nearly as good as either.
