my notes app is jealous of this account.
I appreciate horror, tragedy, and black comedy the most
This film is the sixth out of the eight 2021 best picture nominees I’ve seen, and while it may not be my favourite for the win, it’s absolutely deserving of its nomination. A powerful story that deserves to be told, with great performances.
Kaluuya's and Stanfield's careers have been so exciting to watch over the past few years, and their performances here are yet another display of their black excellence.
CG-whyyyy?! Zemeckis. I need. to. know.
Honestly, it’s a no from me. Miss Hathaway thought she was really doing something huh, but choices were made and none of them were good. Like I really needn’t even mention that accent but god – that was an awful rendition of some caricature of an Eastern European.
ALSO is someone going to tell the filmmakers that rats and mice are indeed NOT the same animal?? That shit bugged me so hard.
‘No please don’t kill me Mr. Ghostface, I wanna be in the sequel.’
This is one of the first horror movies I watched as a teen, and it’s what kickstarted my love for the genre. After today’s announcement of Neve Campbell joining Scream 5, I couldn’t resist revisiting the franchise. And it’s still so so good all these years later!
So meta, so clever and so many gaggy references/moments (see: Janitor Freddy Krueger). This is not just a well made…
