I don't have much to say about this movie – it goes from somewhat interesting to very stupid in one 30-second scene. It's not the worst movie ever although it's pretty feeble in all aspects. But it reminded me of one of my biggest screenwriting pet peeves: telling the story out of order for no discernible reason. Sometimes you can presage a dramatic ending, or provide some information that colors the events you're about to depict, but if you're jumping around in time just to do it, well, don't.
One thing I did appreciate? That song, The Three Bells (Little Jimmy Brown)? Reminds me of a kid I knew once. Gave his ma a good scare by trying ta sell the family business, but I set him straight! Heh heh
