Pretty much an instant masterpiece for me. It won’t be everyone’s cup of tea but it is exactly my flavour.
It’s got incredibly beautiful colours and camerawork. The cinematography is easily some of the best I’ve ever seen. The between the lines storytelling is excellent. The two leads are very good. So realistic and emotional. The lady has like 50 of the prettiest dresses ever, and the man is very 60’s cool and also kind. It has moral dillemas, makes me feel a certain kind of way. The score is amazing (a bit repetitive but great... plus that seems to be a trend with Wong Kar-Wai). It’s great, seriously, highly recommend.
