First Wes Anderson I’ve seen in a theatre! I thought it was lovely :) liked this format for him. Was my most anticipated for the year, and it lived up to the hype for me. If you like Wes Anderson you’ll probably like this, if you don’t then this will likely not change your mind. Beautiful, funny and entertaining for me personally, and I always love big name actors in small parts. My Fave section was definitely β€œThe Concrete Masterpiece” (I make paintings too, though I won’t speak to there quality, but I am fascinated by good artists) Β but I liked them all quite a bit.

    β€œFear is the mind killer”

I loved this, I’ve been waiting for it for so long and I’m glad it lived up to the hype! My dad also loved it! We watched in IMAX which was totally worth it. Beautiful execution of an epic scale Sci fi film.Β

Lady Jessica is my fave character in the books and I’m glad she was portrayed so excellently here.Β Rebecca Ferguson was exactly what I imagined for her character. Every performance was perfect for…

This is really good! basically medieval Rashomon in the style of Ridley Scott.Β

Each of the lead performances are really convincing. Loved the various characterizations, and how in each retelling the characters would change details to present themselves to be more likeable and more in the right than they really were. Lots of great small details in the performance of each character, especially that of Marguerite (played by Jodie Comer). The titular duel is extremely tense and brutal. Visually it…

I wish I had more time to participate in Spooktober, but unfortunately I find myself with an extremely busy schedule. Mostly work related :/Β

I did get to go to a Halloween party this week (I was a vampire, not like the Dracula kind, or the Twilight kind, or the Nosferatu kind, or the Playboi Carti kind. More like the Victorian frilly kind) It was good fun and really got me back in the Halloween spirit! Just wanted to write…

Needed way more Ana De Armas, what a gal, really fun character!Β

My favourite part of the bond films are the many beautiful location changes, the action set pieces, the continuation of tropes (cars, gadgets, recurring characters, intro and song, the suaveness, cool factor, etc.) and of course the wonderfully eccentric villains. This had all of that great stuff. Just a really solid Craig era bond entry, a little long but I honestly didn’t feel it too much. Looked visually clean too. Great conclusion. Pretty fun time at the theatre!

My dads favourite actor is and always will be Clint Eastwood. The coolest cowboy of his childhood. I honestly see a lot of that serious demeanour that Clint always had within my father, I think he probably had a pretty big influence on my dad being a pretty stoic guy.

So as soon as my dad saw the trailer for this he told me he wanted to go see it. My dad doesn’t even really love going to the theatre…

This is brilliant. Really captures the appeal of sports for me.Β

the drama, the narratives, the rivalries and competition, the media, the danger, the politics and corruption, the nationalism. It’s all here. The highs of success, the lows of failure. The heartbreak at the finale.Β

The editing is so phenomenal it almost doesn’t feel like a documentary. I don’t even watch F1 racing so I know very little about this subject, yet I began to feel very tense and emotionally…

this has so many iconic performances, literally every act is incredible and transcendent. Peace love and music captured on film. What more could you want!!! There’s just something about people who can play instruments or sing that just leaves me in awe. The raw sex appeal of these folks is off the charts. Somehow Ravi Shankar is the sexiest of them all with that extremely long but extremely brilliant sitar solo. Other highlights were Jimi humping the shit out of…

Just happened to be on TV while my Dad was flicking through channels. I gushed about how much I loved it as a kid and so he decided to keep it on. I figured he would leave the room because β€œcartoons are for children”, but he actually stuck around and watched the whole thing. He seemingly enjoyed it, which totally surprised me. My favourite portrayal of the Dark Knight. Adored this movie as a child and still do now. Amazing…

Adorable animated fantasy adventure. Simple, magical and bewitchingly animated! I’ve always had a soft spot for Don Bluth’s art style. Suprised I never saw this one as a kid, but if I had, I probably would’ve worn out the VHS.Β

On a day where I am feeling more cynical I’d be harsher on this film, but I’m feeling pretty pleasant today and it cheered me up. Who doesn’t love cute talking animals. I for one believe in the power of…
