Barbie 2023
You know you're in good hands when you can't help but enjoy a film whose talking points you have major contention with. While often funny, this is a very fed-tier synthetic left divisive film. It is in trend with the desecration and subversion of the left that centers on economic class struggles and distracts the working class into petty subversive identity politics garbage. Films like this and the midwit conversations surrounding it have handed conservatives the greatest strawman of what is "communism" or "leftism," and that is no accident.

Everything Everywhere All at Once 2022
Indifference, just crushing indifference is what I felt watching the movie. It's not completely irredeemable. It riffs of WKW's style in some moments - it's not great, but not bad either, I enjoyed those sequences. The movie says something about nihilism, love, family, asian diaspora, etc. etc. But nothing really sticks, it just falls here and there.
