"I'm not superstitious, but I am a little stitious."
— Michael Scott
This was one of the most tense films I've seen in the last couple of years.
It literally throws you in this black hole of desperation and frustration and the weirdest thing is that you know, right from the beginning, that there's no solution to this lie. There's no happy ending or amendments to be made.
A road of no return.
I can't honestly remember for how long I've had this film sitting on my watchlist. For years I went around it, picking something else, making up excuses. "Probably I won't like it". "Doesn't even feel like my type". Oh boy, was I wrong!
Everything about this film is terrific. Everything. If I had to point out a negative it would be the runtime. I could sit here and watch another 3 hours of night-crawling through the streets.
La haine attire la haine!
