Luca’s review published on Letterboxd:
Kurosawa was a master of both framing and camera movement. In this film, he was able to use both aspects perfectly to create battle sequences that were absolutely incredible. The colors where stunning, (which is nice to see from Kurosawa since most of his films are black and white) whether it was the red on bright green grass or the vibrant yellow on a background of black sand. The themes of war, power, betrayal, revenge, and madness were all clearly represented which is in part thanks to Shakespeare since it was adapted from his play King Lear.
