"I can't stand people who cross the line." But what Mr. Park really means is that he's fine with it as long as the crossing is horizontal, an infighting for resources among the "basement" crowd. Once that cannot be contained and starts to cross the vertical line up to him though, he begins to bristle back harsh. The downfall comes when a moment calls for compassion, for a vertical reach down to get one of the wounded up without thinking only for his own plane of people. But he reacts visibly, can't stand to acknowledge that a group has crossed the line up near him, so he gets pulled down to be among the infighting instead.
