Haru is one of the few films that I personally relate to. It's a film that still is relevant to this day even though it was at the dawn of the internet! I've had a lot of online acquaintances but only so few were considered good friends. Although there were two people that I considered to be true friends through my journey in LB and life, I won't state their names here but they helped me through tough times and watching this film made me think about those two friends. I hope those two read this review one day, and watch this film too.

Fallen Angels is a film that can only be described as ethereal, beautiful, dreamy, and most certainly excellent. It is certainly Wong Kar Wai’s most experimental film as of yet, and each time I watch it I find something new about it, I wish to live in the universe that this film and Chungking take place because it is a beautiful one with dreamy lighting plus with so many cool dutch tilts that would make it feel like it was…

One of the best Lovecraftian films out there! Definitely going to buy a copy from Vinegar Syndrome in the future.

    Scavenger Hunt #98 - May 2023
    25. Watch a movie with a courtroom scene.

Orson Welles puts Anthony Perkins through a surreal, confusing adventure through the court system, and it's pretty entertaining to see him deal with the cards he's dealt with. My only complaint is the lack of Jeanne Moreau (she's one of the main reasons I watched this), but at least Romy Schneider plays a big role in this!

I would give this more stars, but alas I cannot due to letterboxd. People say Spirited Away or Totoro or even Grave of The Fireflies are the best Ghibli films and they do have a valid point, but for me I believe that Princess Mononoke is the best one out of all of the Ghibli classics, maybe there are flaws that I had missed but it really kept me hooked and never disappointed me at all. There is something special…

such an odd film, it’s almost like david lynch made a serial killer murder mystery and i love it for many reasons and I have been waiting for a while to watch this as well so it lives up to its rating and reputation too. i feel like this film is like japan’s silence of the lambs really if you think about it, the relationship between the detective and the strange man is interesting to watch but i won’t try to spoil anything important. it was a intriguing watch and I would recommend anyone to watch it if they love crime thriller films
