This was the only movie in the series that I was allowed to see in theaters (I was 10 at the time) and what a way to go out! To be completely honest I didn’t care much about anything apart from Bella being a vampire, Jacob having imprinted on a BABY, Michael Sheen, Dakota Fanning, and obviously the ending fight sequence and resolution. (honorable mention for them tossing a little kid into a bonfire lmao!)
But nothing can compare to the feelings I had watching this in theaters, seeing these characters I had gotten so attached to on the big screen. Especially seeing them during the big bait and switch fight sequence!! I’ll never forget how the whole theater gasped during the reveal. Insane!
Although it isn’t quite worth the 5 stars I originally believed it was 9 years ago, this finale will always be close to my heart.
Probably my favorite theater experience ever!
ALSO FORGOT TO MENTION THAT THIS CEMENTED A THOUSAND YEARS AS ONE OF THE BEST SONGS EVER MADE AND I WILL ALWAYS ASSOCIATE IT WITH THIS SERIES.
