Watched this for a film class I'm taking this semester. Bogart did great playing slick Sam Spade, but honestly my focus was mainly on Mary Astor the whole time <3
Just rewatched for the 50th time. Oddly enough, I did not understand it any more than i did the first time. That's not a bad thing. Something about a movie playing hard-to-get that adds to the appeal.
sidenote: This movie was powerful enough to sedate a rowdy two-year-old. How much of an intellectual would one be to weild such power?
