Dave Jackson’s review published on Letterboxd:
Captain Marvel is surprisingly enjoyable. An engaging lead, a banging score that stinks of Nicolas Winding Refn, lots of goofy 90s references (the Mallrats bit made me laugh). The action is cheesy and CGI but not without its charms. The cat/not cat is great. Ben Mendelsohn is the best casting ever. I love that he doesn't bother to hide his Australian accent one bit. A smaller, less overwhelmingly epic Marvel film and a very fun one at that.
