Something sweet for the new gen to watch and the breaking-the-fourth-wall narration surprisingly works with MBB.
Still, the fun in a mystery is letting the audience try to figure out the culprit. I felt like I was watching Enola pick up clues and inside jokes as an outsider - not so fun. The writing was also often cliched and timing on some dialogue was at times awkward... but it’s a film for kids, so not much to be expected there.
and weirdly enough Henry Cavil and Sam Claflin kind of fit their supporting roles well 😳
