Early on, I thought the tonal tightrope might not work. Blending comedy and tragedy is Waititi’s forte though, and eventually the movie finds its groove even if there are a few hiccups along the way. Very funny and equally sad. I wish Waititi would make more movies like this and not return to the Marvel universe, but it looks like he’s playing a “one for them, one for me” type of game.
