I don't have much to say here. Norm MacDonald was one of my favorite comedians growing up. I loved everything he did, this movie included.

Norm played a huge role in shaping my sense of humor and I'm sad that he's gone.

This a fantastically depressing comedy special. Also, I expect that the ending is a far more accurate representation of the pandemic's end than that fucking gum commercial.

The atmospheric psychological horror, surrounding the theme of lack of agency that comes with entering a foreign country as a refugee is so compelling and well done here. At the same time, tgats why the movie is such a let down in the second half, as it transforms into standard monster movie fare and a poorly explained resurrection ritual. A real bummer that such a unique way to tell an immigrant story is abandoned halfway through.
