This doesn't have a right to be as good as it is.

Hair and makeup crew must have had a ball with this one

I don't think it's possible to understand it unless you're watching it whilst tripping on the hardest thing you can find.

Film is the definition of 'Nonchalant'

  • Phantom Thread

    Phantom Thread

    ★★★★

It annoys me that there's one PTA film that I don't like. It's great, but not for me.

  • The Hateful Eight

    The Hateful Eight

    ★★★★

Alright, so, I'm writing this first little portion before I've actually rewatched the film. I've previously seen this twice, the first time I hated it, the second time I apparently enjoyed it but still dont remember it. This 3rd rewatch serves basically as the final decision.

Thoughts after rewatch; It's good. It's enjoyable. It's not Tarantinos best but he gives it a good try. Some parts feel a little dragged out or boring, but luckily the script/performances save it most of the time.

  • Casino

    Casino

    ★★★★

I realise this isn't underrated by my god is this underrated. Everyone talks about Goodfellas and Taxi Driver but never Casino. We need justice for Casino.

  • Reservoir Dogs

'Stuck in the Middle with You' is the best torture song

  • Inherent Vice

    Inherent Vice

    ★★★★

A trippy, 'wtf' kind of film with Joaquin playing a pot-head hippie.

Inherent Vice introduces you to more characters than that of a fantasy film and everyone blends so well together. It's pretty amazing how PTA is able to write so many characters and have them all play a pivotal role in a film, whilst also being different and interesting. Speaking of PTA, the directing is of course great, it was obvious this was gonna be the case considering everything…

  • King Kong

    King Kong

    ★★★★

Scene; I had put in the 4K disc to watch King Kong for the first time, upon pressing the button to begin the picture it brings me to a screen, to either choose theatrical or extended. Me, unknowing an extended version existed as the cover art never specified it, i become curious and click into the aforementioned cut. Little did i remember this was directed by Peter Jackson and as the runtime pops up i realise i'm about to witness Jack Black and a Monkey go at it for 3 hours.

Was i disappointed? Not. At. All.
