Saw it a for the first time a few months ago, been sitting on it ever since. I honestly don't even know where to start with this, but I guess I should begin by calling it a masterpiece (as if I even need to say anything) as well as one of my new favorite movies.
Out of the hundreds of films I have seen in my life, I have never seen one this complex, and simultaneously brilliant. Every single scene in this movie has some form of underlying meaning. I found myself discovering dozens of new things on my second viewing, and honestly I kind of want to see it again just to discover more.
"The end is built into the beginning" is one of the many tragic but realistic themes of the film. Just like life itself, the movie starts and ends with a slow fade of grey. By the end of the movie, Caden still proves to be obsessive and pessimistic , and thus making his character arc complete, by staying the exact same.
Anyways I really loved this one and I can't wait to watch it for the third time.
