This film is a mystery to me. Of course, as I was watching it, I took everything at face value as it occurred, hoping to piece it together upon reflection. Thankfully, the film has no one true interpretation, as I came to realize. The film is rife with ambiguity and irreconcilable duality, to the point that the very nature of the story's existence comes into question. I have seen many interpretations of this in my reading so far on here and elsewhere, and I have no idea what to think. I cannot say I subscribe to a definitive theory on what really happened, as for me what "happens" is the least of my concern. Instead, I was entranced by the film's methodical pace and indistinctness, my mind wandering aimlessly through what I could not decipher. I love this feeling, and it is an extremely difficult one to evoke. I don't have much else to say, there are some great reviews elsewhere that go more in depth and pick an actual interpretation of the film that I'll link here.
