    Movie 21/33

There is so much to say about this movie that I don't really know where to even start. Andrzej Żuławski wrote and directed this film and I'm just in awe at what he created here, first off his direction and the decision to use mostly wide angle lens throughout the film was amazing, the wide angle shots really gives you alot of context to what is around the characters and he uses this by mirroring…

    Movie: 30/33

I absolutely loved this. I've always been fascinated by caves and I love watching people explore them, it's such a good setting for a film like this because it inherently feels unknown and foreign to adventure into a strange cave. The cinematography is impeccable, with the lighting being it's main strength. Deep reds provided by flares, glowing greens from glow sticks, night vision cameras and a whole lot of darkness. All the girls were interesting…

So I know I'm gonna piss a good majority of people off with this one but I gotta be honest here, aside from the cool opening, the fantastic last confrontation with Michael and Jamie Lee Curtis's excellent performance, this one is probably the least entertaining of all the movies and there are a ton of issues I have with it. The idea on paper to throw all the sequels out the window and continue from the first was a great…

This still has some of the best performances from Jake Gyllenhaal and Hugh Jackman for my money and it's a perfectly crafted thriller with a perfect ending. The antagonist and the history of kidnappings make this an insane story and I think the maze is not only obviously a great reveal plot wise but also a sort of metaphor for the way a case like this is, never-ending dead ends and a feeling of hopelessness for all involved.…

    Zombie Film #11

This is probably the best straight up zombie movie I've seen I think. The fact that these zombies are essentially indestructible and that this chemical that creates them is able to be spread everywhere makes this one of the most bleak movies in terms of hopelessness. The punk crew were really interesting and funny characters, and overall the movie is very comedic at times. The soundtrack is filled…
