Rob Carman’s review published on Letterboxd:
This seemingly under-the-radar film managed to defy most of my expectations. Early on it feels like a giant blend of other great action/sci-fi films (The Matrix, Hardcore Henry, The Dark Knight, Drive, Blade Runner all came to mind at some point), but it really becomes its own towards the end. Gritty and extremely dark. Some great set pieces, too. There was some really cool camerawork in a few scenes as well. The biggest downsides are that the dialogue isn't very inspired and the acting isn't too good in general. It would've been better with the real Tom Hardy, and not just a look-alike.
