Borrows from enough other movies to be original when pieced together. Naming a few of them would be spoilers but that two of them are (definitely) "Whistle and I'll Come to You" and (maybe) Inland Empire is pretty cool. Not as smart as it thinks it is (but who is?). I almost missed part of the movie unrolling my eyes after they show the school's name is "Jacques Derrida High School." Also the line, "You can't convict the cosmos!" The silliness is inherent in this kind of stuff, but over two hours it's just that many more chances to show its ass. Never dull, though, and fun to watch it unravel (something which other people on here took issue with, but I'm more inclined to forgive a messy resolution that's a bit batshit than one that's rote or clockwork perfect).

Would love to see a 90 minute version directed by David *A.* Prior.
