    Army of Darkness

*watched for the first time in anticipation of the upcoming Evil  Dead game*

Skeleton warrior to his skeleton comrades: “Put your backbone into it!”

Skeletons playing a bone flute ☑️
Skeletons playing bagpipes made from bones ☑️
Skeletons running and screaming for their skeleton lives ☑️

Bruce Campbell went full Looney Tunes and Three Stooges here and I love him for that.

    That windmill scene, though!!

  • Critters

If you asked someone to bottle the feeling of having a slumber party with your friends, with the lights turned out as it gets close to midnight, Critters would be the result.

Dee Wallace is the perhaps the greatest professional movie mom out there. She was doing her best!

    Oh, yes.

This was a delicious treat. I was giggling and smiling and loving every second of this ride the filmmakers took me on. I can’t wait to see this again soon!

(Watched as part of Blank Check’s series on Sam Raimi)

    That Leo scene!
    That Keith David scene!!
    The gun choreography!!!
    Russell Crowe’s perfect hair!

I’ve never been the biggest fan of Westerns but this movie really impressed me, giving me shades of Hudsucker Proxy and Kill Bill, of all things. You can absolutely feel the appreciation for the genre on display.

Every actor is giving their best, but Sharon Stone is the standout, by far. If only we lived in a timeline where we had gotten a trilogy with her Lady character!
