• Bottle Rocket

    Bottle Rocket

This is not particularly remarkable, but still a good movie, and a pretty solid debut if you ask me. It's crazy to think that the same man that directed this movie, also directed masterpieces like Fantastic Mr. Fox or the Grand Budapest Hotel (to name a few). Hell, even his next work, Rushmore, is levels ahead this movie and it's incredible. Gotta love a director who learns and improves fast!

    Nobody Knows I'm Here

I had really low expectations and it definitely exceeded all of them!!

I gotta say that the thing that I loved the most it was it's perfect cinematography. Beautiful beautiful shots of the southern chilean woods, lakes and mountains. Also loved the use of color and lights, it was *french kiss*

Now about the story, I found it quite original and although I didn't like the song at all, and I didn't liked Memo as a character, I think it…

  • In the Mood for Love

    In the Mood for Love

I was not really in the right mood to fully connect to this movie, however I still found it beautiful.

Really loved how subtle everything was, from the dialogues, to the look in their eyes, the use of colour and score, and the physical language. Everything was very delicate and meant to tell something.

I found it a little bit too contemplative for what I was looking for tonight, but I'm looking forward to rewatching it again so I can appreciate it more.

It was a fun time to watch, ridiculous at times, completely untrascendental, I will probably forget about it in a few days, but still, fun time!

  • Three Colors: Blue

    Three Colors: Blue

Really liked this, a lot more than White. It was very beautiful to watch Julie's grief, how she struggled at first, how she strived to survive, to have a new life, to get her shit together again, to be open again to love and be loved. But the thing that got me the most was her forgiveness and compassionate heart, even to those who hurt her.

Also loved the composing scenes, how the music changed when she arranged something new... it was very special.

Very excited to watch the last one of the trilogy.

  • I'm Thinking of Ending Things

    I'm Thinking of Ending Things

I had been waiting for months to watch this, as I'm a fan of Kauffman's work, and I had really big expectations. After watching it though, I was left very confused and with a lot of questions.

But then I did my research on the book that inspired it, and OMG this movie is fucking genius!! Seriously no other than Charlie Kauffman could have pull this thing off better than him! The book itself it's confusing as hell but that's…

  • Rushmore

I rewatched this last night with my boyfriend, who hadn't seen it, and I remembered why I loved it so much. This movie deserves better! It deserves more recognition than it has in comparison to other WA movies.

I could say a lot of things that make this great, but what an amazing soundtrack huh?

  • Saw

My boyfriend made me watch this and hey, it was better than I expected! For some reason I though this movie was gore and was about grapphic violence and lots of blood and mutilations, but it turned out to be some kind of mistery and crime movie I guess? It had an actual plot going on, and even had a plot twist. I think I'll continue to rewatch these movies with him (this was the only one I haven't watched before).

  • Fantastic Mr. Fox

    Fantastic Mr. Fox

Rewatching this film made me realize I should obviously rate it 5 stars. This movie is very unique and wonderful, never fails to cheer me up.

  • The Sleepwalkers

    The Sleepwalkers

  • The Lighthouse

    The Lighthouse

What an incredible thing!! Beautiful, beautiful shots, amazing use of the light (very dramatic), killer performances by Willem Dafoe and Robert Pattinson, and great storytelling and use of folklore. I felt repulsed and mesmerized, I laughed, I wanted to sing with them, I wanted to run away from them, I mostly wanted them to take a bath, I felt the hunger and the madness they passed through, ugh it was some journey folks.

    I am speechless, I feel as if…

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

Ok so what I loved about this movie is how disturbing, tense and unsettling it is, without having anything actually scary, violent or threatening at all. This is like the perfect representation of anxiety and how the world feels when you have it, and not just the movie itself, but the experience of watching this movie also.

The whole time I was so nervous, expecting anything terrible to happen, and when the cult thing begins it's not deppicted as something…
