    Silent Night, Deadly Night

    Punish... Punish... PUNISH!

Hey nuns, maybe the kid who watched his parents get butchered by Santa, shouldn't be a part of Christmas arts and crafts, just sayin'. What do you expect... Poor Billy, first his parents get sliced up, then he gets stuck with a bunch of nuns, beaten with a belt, tied to a bed, and gets made to sit on Santa's lap! I can almost sympathize with him... almost. Killing Linnea Quigley was crossing the line though! Totally…

Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2

Christmas time is coming, it'll be here in just a few ticks.
So why not pass the time with some bloody Christmas flicks.

Black Christmas, Krampus, and other holly jolly delights.
Just cannot compare to these Silent Deadly Nights.

If bad acting and recaps are the presents you desire.
Sit down and get cozy, near the warmth of the fire.

Santa Billy is dead, and Ricky saw the whole thing.
So revenge and murder will now be the gifts that…

It might just be the holiday haze fogging up my mind, but I thought this winter-themed anthology collection was pretty alright. I wasn't a big fan of the original ABCs of Death because of how wildly inconsistent and flat-out bad the quality of the shorts were, and despite this following the same concept, it all just grooved along a whole lot better. Plenty of creative and fun story ideas, some solid gory visual fx, loads of Christmas carnage, and the…

Severed heads, scooped out brains, and sawn-off legs from one PISSED off Santa figuring out who's been naughty and who's been nice with his spinning shuriken on a steel chain (spoilers: they've ALL been naughty!). A visceral slice of j-splatter joy under the faint glow of red and green Christmas lights. Love the atmosphere on this one, the hazy dreamlike quality, and the totally ridiculous set-up that makes for a real bloody fun watch. Nice!

”I killed the stupid little policeman, smashed his head in.”

Goddamn, I forgot just how cruel and jovially mean Claude Rains' Invisible Man portrayal really is, it's been too long since last rewatch. After barrelling my way through the sequels this year, which are mostly decent, but lean too hard into the comedy side of things, it's refreshing to come back to the original and remember what MADNESS, what being an invisible menace truly means. Body count of…

Man, there's just something so pure, so unrefined, so RAW, about this no-budget French slasher nightmare. Ninety straight minutes with hardly a lick of dialogue, minimal story 'n' plot - just an overbearing onslaught of synth doom crunch, an incredible imagination for the psychotronic delights, and one simple maniac out mutilating waves of victims while gently caressing his axe. No fluff, no bullshit, just MAYHEM!

Motorcycle axe attacks, a lumberjack duel to…
