Kev’s review published on Letterboxd:
In his feature length debut, Damien Chazelle drew his name in blood, sweat, and tears to become one of the best young directors in Hollywood. One can’t help but think that the two main characters, Andrew and Fletcher, are reflections of Damien’s own character. A talented young artist, with undeniable drive looking to become the greatest at his craft. Juxtaposed by a perfectionist willing others to the highest standards while scorching earth and back. All of those elements is what it takes to make a film like Whiplash, and that’s what we got.
