This is a case of the trailer is better than the movie, so my expectations were way too high.
That doesn't mean I didn't like this dramatic World War I war film from the German point of view.

Although half an hour too long in my opinion, it kept me interested. The cinematography is good and the acting is good, but I did not like the pace of the film. The sometimes long and unnecessary conversations made it a bit boring at times.

Nonetheless, it is a good, depressing and raw depiction of a senseless war.
