The Florida Project is an adventure on it’s own. An enlightening and wonderful film by one of the most underrated director of this time. Baker does an amazing job depicting the minds of these great kids, Moonee more specifically; lending you the innocence and astonishment of a child until it whisks you away back to reality. Through the saturated colors and beautiful cinematography that contrasts the portayal of modern day poverty in America leads the film to be more raw and emotional. I do have to mention, that it did drag a bit but Baker always tend to captivate me someway. And that ending, at first I was confused but once every settled I realized the meaning behind it, the whimsical hope within these kids and I wept, and wept and wept. I can safety say as well, that this was truly worth the wait (I loved Tangerine) and I wasn’t disappointed, making it one of the best films I watched this year.
