I really enjoyed this movie but the more I think about it the less sense it makes. But it was so entertaining I don't feel like nitpicking.

A bit unoriginal taking inspirations from various books and movies but they say "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery that mediocrity can pay to greatness". And there is nothing mediocre about Equilibrium. Great futuristic sci-fi dystopian flick. Most movies coming out today imitate not to flatter but to make money.

The marketing of this film was terrible, genuinely put me off watching the movie up until now, despite the interesting story of Jann Mardenborough's career. But don't let the trailers fool you, it's a great movie, so great when they said all those annoying lines from the trailers it actually managed to not annoy me at all.

Btw the outside racing lines he takes won't work 90% of the time, so when they say this story is dramatized, they really do mean dramatized.

A new gold standard for biopics. A movie to make you think and not think for you. My youtube watch later playlist is now filled with manhattan project documentaries.

Completely tops the first one. I knew when the guy who worked on Justice League: Unlimited and Avatar: The Last Airbender was directing this it was gonna be elevated on a whole new level this time around.

Some pacing issues but honestly if the third movie has a smart and satisfying conclusion this might be a 5 star movie from me by then.
