I was bored. I mean, I was really bored through most of this movie to the point where I wanted to turn it off. I was waiting for a powerful scene from Mary J Blige that made her deserving of all the award nominations she has received. Well, it never came. I did not see much from her role and acting. I did not see her contribute much to the story throughout the film. And that was massively disappointing. This story and movie shined with Gerrett and Jason. Their friendship shows the humanity in an otherwise callous world depicted in the movie. Their bond carried past bloodlines, race and hatred and became the true heart here. I waited 2 hours for something worth watching and the movie delivered in its final scene. Two hours of misery for 20 seconds of pure hopeful joy for humanity.
