    Goodness, but this is a heck of a monster movie! One of those monsters is an alcoholic cop in small town Utah (played by Jim Cummings), the other a werewolf tearing apart said small town. The script (by Cummings, who also directed) is a cracker: witty, honest, mixing horror with humor as effectively as ‘An American Werewolf in London,’ but with heavier emotional weight, particularly around masculinity. Think Sam Shepard with more dismemberment.

    Whew! That's a lot of high-production value gore! Yes, every bit as intense as it's advertised to be. It's also smarter than I was led to believe.
