  • Tenet

Tenet is the worst Nolan film
and don’t try to convince me that
it all makes sense in the end
Because, when you take a closer look
The film is built on crazy ideas.
    Even if
    Some scenes really shine
The plot and characters don’t hold together.
    And it’s not true that
Nolan knows how to write emotions
    The characters can be believable
Only if there was heart in the script
It’s not true that this movie is good…

Landing on the moon was firmly fixed as a historical event mentioned in a textbook by the time I came around. Marked as an achievement for the U.S. and humanity I could appreciate it telescopically. Often it was presented as a bullet point of the time it belonged to: the Vietnam war, the civil rights movement, landing on the moon etc. all globbed together to help shape what the 60's were.

When you accept that the reason why you know is because you believe in the future of the choice that you already made was not a question but an answer to the wocca wocca ding dong coming soon to the 70mm vault.

    McCabe & Mrs. Miller

Altman does it again. I love the way Altman makes a movie and I don’t care who knows it. His camera moves the way the human eye would if it could zoom.

The frontier is a magical, wondrous, terrifying place. Exploring places untouched but also giving the vices of men room to thrive. A land of opportunity cuts both ways.

I love the interplay with McCabe and Miller, two people making the best of the hands they have, both flawed…

Anna Biller understands men at a profound level. I’m watching myself die multiple times and you know what? I’m happy with the results. Anna kill me all over again.

How much better would the world be if witches were allowed to thrive? The deep implications of understanding ourselves at a deeper level, harnessing the energy that “science” can’t see.
    Body, spirit, and womb.
“I feel like we have met before. Oh you’re the man in the cards!”
    Thank you Anna.

  • Psycho

I was a little lukewarm on a black and white 4K, how good could it look?

Ahem - very, very good. Psycho is exceptionally dark for a black and white, more like a black and grey, and the 4K looks crystal clear. The opening shot of the camera going into the window what am I looking at? The blacks and and shadows in this are exceptional. Everything in the foreground just pops off the screen.

    The story has been talked…
